On March 9, Ukraine is set to experience pleasant spring weather, characterized by sunny skies and mild temperatures. Meteorologist Natalka Didenko has provided this forecast, indicating that the entire country will enjoy daytime highs ranging from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
Didenko noted, “In Ukraine, everywhere will be a spring beauty. On the 9th of March, it will be warm, sunny, and the birds will sing.” An anticyclone is expected to bring dry conditions across the nation.
However, temperatures will be slightly cooler in the northeastern regions, where they are expected to range from 6 to 9 degrees Celsius. In the capital, Kyiv, the forecast predicts sunny weather with a high of 12 degrees Celsius.
Weather Updates Across Ukraine
On Sunday, Ukrainians will also enjoy mild temperatures, with many areas experiencing highs of 9 to 11 degrees Celsius. The western regions are anticipated to be the warmest, with temperatures reaching between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius. In contrast, the Chernihiv and Sumy regions will be cooler, with highs of 5 to 7 degrees Celsius.
Vira Balabukh, head of the Applied Meteorology and Climatology Department at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute, addressed perceptions of an unusually cold winter. She explained that the winter was not as anomalous as it seemed, attributing the perception to a lack of heating due to Russian shelling and the absence of low temperatures over the past 13 years.
