Russia Launches Second Wave of Kalibr Missiles Towards Ukraine

In the early hours of March 7, Russia executed a second wave of Kalibr cruise missile launches targeting Ukraine. The missiles were detected in the airspace over the country shortly after the initial strike.

The first launch occurred around 2 a.m., with missiles reportedly heading towards western regions, specifically impacting the Chernivtsi area. While official details regarding the consequences of this attack remain unclear, monitoring channels suggested that the Dniester Hydroelectric Station may have been a potential target.

By 3:30 a.m., reports emerged of a second salvo of Kalibr missiles, which were tracked by the Ukrainian Air Force approximately 20 minutes later. These missiles entered through the Kherson region, following a similar trajectory as the earlier launch.

Images captured during this event indicated that the second wave was observed over Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions, heading towards Vinnytsia.

As of 4:18 a.m., the air alert map indicated widespread alerts across much of Ukraine, reflecting the ongoing threat posed by these missile strikes.

Russia's recent missile strikes mark a significant escalation in hostilities, with multiple regions of Ukraine under threat. The targeting of critical infrastructure raises concerns about the ongoing conflict's impact on civilian safety and regional stability.
