Intense Combat Reported in Eastern Ukraine: Key Developments from March 2

On March 2, Ukrainian forces engaged in 152 combat encounters with enemy troops, with the highest concentration of activity occurring in the Huliaipole direction, where 40 assaults were recorded.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the previous day saw significant military activity across various fronts. In the Northeastern Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, the enemy launched four airstrikes, deploying nine bombs, and conducted 137 shelling incidents, seven of which involved multiple rocket launch systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansk direction, the enemy made a single attempt to breach Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk Khutory. Meanwhile, no offensive actions were reported in the Kupiansk direction.

The Lyman direction experienced eight attacks from the enemy, who sought to penetrate Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, and the area of Serednie.

Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 13 attempts by enemy forces to advance in the Sloviansk direction, particularly around the localities of Platonivka, Zakittne, Riznykivka, and towards Ozerne.

In the Kramatorsk direction, no offensive operations were initiated by the occupying forces. However, in the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy conducted 13 attacks in the areas of Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillia, Oleksandro-Shultine, and Sofiivka, as well as towards Illinivka, Novopavlivka, and Kostiantynivka.

Ukrainian defenders also halted 23 assault attempts by the aggressor in the Pokrovsk direction, particularly around the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udashne, Molodetske, and towards Novopavlivka and Shevchenko.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy launched six attacks in the areas of Ternove, Kalynivske, and Zlahoda. The Huliaipole direction remained the most active, with 40 assaults reported near Huliaipole, Zelenyi, and in the vicinity of Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Staroukraiinka.

Two encounters with the enemy occurred in the Orikhiv direction near Plavni and Stepnohirske. No active operations were reported in the Dnipro direction.

Lastly, no signs of enemy offensive formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

The report details intense military engagements in Eastern Ukraine on March 2, with significant activity particularly in the Huliaipole direction. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled numerous assaults across various fronts, highlighting ongoing hostilities in the region.
