Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed that Ukraine has obtained documents outlining Russian military plans for the years 2025 to 2027. He characterized these plans as outdated and disconnected from current realities on the ground.
Zelensky stated that the documents indicate Russia’s intentions to continue its efforts to occupy the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He noted that Russian forces are also not abandoning their attempts to advance in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro directions, while showing interest in the Odesa area.
However, the president emphasized that the plans do not align with the actual capabilities of Russian forces, suggesting that they are unable to fulfill their objectives. “These maps, look, they have nothing to do with reality at the moment, as they cannot accomplish their tasks,” he remarked.
Furthermore, Zelensky pointed out that a planned Russian offensive for spring 2023 was heavily reliant on a solid foundation, which he believes is currently lacking due to failures in meeting objectives set for the end of 2025.
He expressed uncertainty regarding the timing of any potential spring offensive, stating, “I do not know if there will be an offensive in spring and when exactly. They want to advance, but so far they do not have the strength to carry this out. Everything depends on contracts, offensives, weapon supplies, and our own production capabilities.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has disclosed that Ukraine has accessed Russian military plans for 2025-2027, which he describes as outdated and unrealistic. He highlighted ongoing Russian ambitions in several regions while expressing skepticism about their ability to execute these plans effectively.
