U.S. President Claims Death of Iranian Leader Ali Khamenei Amid Military Operations

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei via his social media platform, Truth Social. Trump characterized Khamenei as one of history’s most notorious figures, asserting that his death represents justice for the Iranian people and for many others affected by Khamenei’s actions.

According to Trump, Khamenei was eliminated through American intelligence and advanced surveillance systems, with assistance from Israel. He stated that this development offers a chance for the Iranian populace to reclaim their country. Concurrently, Trump indicated that intense airstrikes in Iran, which began on February 28, would continue for a week or as long as necessary to achieve U.S. objectives of establishing peace in the Middle East.

A post on Khamenei’s verified account in Persian read:

“In the name of the noble Ali, peace be upon him. Without him, there would be neither sky nor earth.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also commented in a video address, suggesting there are “many signs” indicating that Khamenei is no longer alive. Reports from Reuters and the Israeli newspaper Times of Israel, citing Israeli officials, stated that Khamenei’s body was found following Israeli airstrikes in Tehran.

As of now, Iranian authorities have neither confirmed nor denied these claims.

Military Operations Against Iran

On February 28, Israel launched attacks on the Iranian capital, Tehran. Following this, President Trump stated that U.S. military forces had initiated a “major combat operation” against Iran, aimed at eliminating imminent threats posed by the Iranian regime. He accused the Iranian government of financing and training militants in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Hamas in Palestine. The operation’s goals include dismantling Iran’s missile industry and naval capabilities to prevent global destabilization.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched missiles and drones targeting Israel and had attacked U.S. military bases in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

In response to the military actions, French President Emmanuel Macron called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council. The European Union affirmed its unwavering commitment to ensuring regional security and stability in the Middle East.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the situation, stating that it is just to provide Iranians the opportunity to rid themselves of a “terrorist regime” and to ensure safety for all nations affected by attacks originating from Iran.

U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, asserting it as a significant development in U.S.-Iran relations. Concurrently, military operations targeting Iran have intensified, prompting international responses and calls for urgent discussions on regional security.
