Ukrainian President Supports Military Action Against Iranian Regime

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his support for a military operation targeting the Iranian regime, citing the need for change in a government he describes as oppressive.

Zelensky stated, “I think people in Iran are seeking help to change the current regime, which openly seeks to attack other countries and causes significant harm. This regime has existed for many years. People have no rights. Individuals are disappearing. People are being killed and executed by the thousands.” He emphasized that any military action should be directed against the regime rather than the Iranian populace.

The President acknowledged ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, remarking, “Of course, negotiations are better. I can say this because we are at war. But I am not sure that the current regime genuinely shares this idea.”

In related developments, The Wall Street Journal reported on the third round of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran concerning a nuclear agreement. According to sources, U.S. representatives, including Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, demanded that Iran dismantle three key nuclear facilities and transfer all remaining enriched uranium to the United States.

Additionally, U.S. officials stated that any nuclear deal must be indefinite, contrasting with the previous agreement made under former President Barack Obama, which had a set expiration.

Iran has rejected the proposal to transfer its uranium stockpile abroad and has opposed halting uranium enrichment, dismantling its nuclear facilities, and accepting permanent limitations on its nuclear program.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has voiced support for military action against the Iranian regime, emphasizing the need for change. Meanwhile, U.S.-Iran negotiations regarding a nuclear agreement continue to face significant challenges, with both sides holding firm on key issues.
