On February 25, significant military engagements occurred in Ukraine, with reports indicating 235 clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces. The Russian military intensified its offensive in the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Hulyaipole regions, resulting in substantial casualties for both sides.
According to the morning briefing from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces suffered 1,360 military personnel losses within a single day. The report detailed a variety of military actions, including one missile strike, 68 airstrikes involving 222 guided bombs, and the deployment of 5,271 kamikaze drones. Additionally, Russian troops conducted 3,222 shelling incidents targeting both military positions and civilian areas, with 91 of those attacks utilizing multiple launch rocket systems.
“Yesterday, the aggressors struck Ukrainian territory with one missile, conducted 68 airstrikes, and dropped 222 guided bombs. They also employed 5,271 kamikaze drones and executed 3,222 shelling operations against our forces and populated areas, including 91 from multiple launch rocket systems,” the report stated.
The airstrikes specifically targeted various settlements, including Luhzhky in Sumy Oblast; Pokrovsk, Havyliivka, Orly, and Velykomykhailivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast; and Ostrivske, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Trudove, Svitla Dolyna, Vozdvizhivka, Hulyaipole, Dolynka, Kopani, Liubytske, and Tersyanka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
In response, Ukrainian forces successfully struck four areas where Russian personnel were concentrated and one command post used by Russian drones. Overall, the Ukrainian defense forces neutralized three tanks, 25 artillery systems, four multiple launch rocket systems, 681 tactical drones, and 93 vehicles belonging to the Russian military.
Frontline Situation
In the Northeastern and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks. Russian forces executed three airstrikes, dropping nine guided bombs, and carried out 103 shelling incidents against Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, with 10 of these involving multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Russian troops launched 12 assaults against Ukrainian positions near Pishchane, Starytsia, Rybalkyne, Vovchansk, and toward Zelenyi and Lyman.
In the Kupiansk direction, eight attacks were recorded, with Ukrainian forces successfully defending against assaults near Borivska Andriivka and toward Novoplatonivka, Pishchane, and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attempted to advance 11 times, targeting areas near Novoyehorivka, Drobysheve, Lyman, and Myrnyi.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders thwarted two attempts by Russian forces to advance near Yampol and Platonivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops made five attempts to breach Ukrainian positions near Rai-Oleksandrivka and in the areas of Bondarne and Min’kivka.
In the Kostyantynivka direction, 18 attacks were recorded against settlements including Kostyantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Berestok, Rusyn Yar, Stepaniivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 57 offensive actions in the vicinity of Rodynske, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udačne, Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Filia, and toward Bilytske, Hryshyne, Novopidhorodne, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces made five attacks against Ukrainian positions in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Ternove, Vyshneve, and Kalynivske.
In the Hulyaipole direction, Russian troops attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 36 times in the vicinity of Hulyaipole, Bilohirya, and toward Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Hirke, and Varvarivka.
In the Orekhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled eight attacks near Stepanohirsk, Mali Shcherbaky, and Stepove.
In the Dnipro direction, one attack was recorded.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected.
