On February 20, Ukraine will maintain scheduled power outages for its residents, although certain regions will not experience any interruptions.
According to local energy authorities, hourly power cut schedules for households and capacity restrictions for businesses will be in effect throughout most areas. These measures are a response to the ongoing impacts of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“Attention! The situation in the energy system may change. Please check the official pages of your regional energy supplier for the timing and extent of outages at your address,” the announcement stated.
However, there are regions where no outages are planned for February 20:
- Zakarpattia
Energy authorities have confirmed that scheduled power outages will not be implemented in Zakarpattia.
- Volyn
Similarly, the energy supplier’s website indicates that Volyn will not have scheduled outages on this date.
In contrast, other regions of Ukraine, including Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and others, will continue to follow the established schedules for power outages and capacity limitations. The timing of these outages will depend on information provided by local energy suppliers.
Ukraine will implement scheduled power outages on February 20, affecting most regions due to ongoing impacts from Russian attacks on the energy system. However, Zakarpattia and Volyn will be exempt from these interruptions.
