The Central Election Commission of Ukraine has officially registered Olesya Otradnova as a Member of Parliament representing the Servant of the People party during a meeting held on February 18, 2026. This announcement was made by the CEC’s press service.
Otradnova’s mandate follows the withdrawal of the previous candidate, Roman Kravets, who declined the parliamentary seat. Additionally, another candidate, Yuriy Fedorenkov, was removed from the list due to his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Olesya Otradnova was included in the party’s electoral list as candidate number 160 during the extraordinary parliamentary elections held on July 21, 2019.
Her official powers will commence upon taking the oath in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Background on Olesya Otradnova
Born on July 14, 1977, in Blagoveshchensk, Amur Oblast, Russia, Olesya Otradnova graduated from the Faculty of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1999, earning a Master of Laws degree.
Since 2001, she has held various academic positions, including assistant, associate professor, and professor at the Civil Law Department of the same university. In 2002, she defended her dissertation for a Candidate of Legal Sciences degree on the topic of penalties in Ukrainian civil law, and that same year, she obtained her license to practice law.
In 2014, she achieved her Doctor of Legal Sciences degree with a dissertation focused on the mechanisms of civil law regulation of tort obligations. By 2015, she was appointed Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University.
At the time of the 2019 parliamentary elections, Otradnova was serving as Deputy Dean and was a professor at the Civil Law Department. She is currently unaffiliated with any political party and resides in Kyiv. From 2020 to 2025, she held the position of Director of the Training Center for Prosecutors of Ukraine.
Olesya Otradnova has been officially registered as a Member of Parliament for the Servant of the People party after the previous candidate's withdrawal. Her parliamentary powers will take effect upon taking the oath.
