Grenade Found at Polish-Ukrainian Border Prompts Evacuation

Border guards at the Dolgobychiv crossing between Poland and Ukraine discovered a grenade in the possession of a passenger, leading to the evacuation of 19 individuals from the facility.

The incident occurred early in the morning, shortly after 5 AM, as confirmed by Lukasz Homczynski, a duty officer from the Lublin Voivodeship Fire Service. The evacuated group included 14 civilians, three customs officials, and two border guards.

Authorities ensured the area was secured, and the police are now investigating the matter.

In a separate incident in Poland, a Moldovan citizen was apprehended after he activated the emergency brake on a freight train traveling from Szczecin to Dorohusk. At the time of his arrest, the 25-year-old was found between train cars. This intervention was part of a police operation initiated in mid-November following a previous act of sabotage on that railway line.

A grenade was discovered at the Dolgobychiv border crossing, resulting in the evacuation of 19 people. The police are now investigating the incident, ensuring safety at the site.
