Ukrainian Drone Commander Issues Warnings for Crimea Amid Military Operations

Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the commander of Ukraine’s drone forces, has issued a stark warning regarding the situation in Crimea, stating that the region will become increasingly perilous for its occupants. In a post on Facebook on June 21, he apologized to the local population for the expected disruptions, including frequent air raid alerts, closed roads, and power outages.

Brovdi emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin will cling to Crimea as a significant asset, even if it becomes isolated. He outlined a strategy aimed at depleting Russian resources and logistics in the region, which includes targeting military infrastructure and disrupting supply chains.

“Ukrainians in occupied territories, I apologize for the constant alerts, closed bridges and roads, darkness, and stress. Stay away from military sites and share coordinates with our fighters—’Bird’ operates precisely, but debris will fly during the logging process,” Brovdi stated.

He further indicated that there appears to be no other way to remove approximately one million occupying forces from Crimea.

“Crimea will break Moscow; it is a psychological breaking point. All dictatorships collapse suddenly—remember any example. Today, Crimea is a heavy burden for Moscow,” he added.

Following strikes by Ukrainian forces on the oil terminal “TES-Terminal-1” in Kerch and several other military targets on the night of June 21, residents in occupied Crimea experienced power and water shortages. A significant traffic jam also formed near the Crimean Bridge, as vehicles lined up to cross.

Additionally, Sergei Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, announced that fuel would not be available at local gas stations.

On the same day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the results of nighttime strikes targeting Russian military and energy infrastructure, including areas around the Crimean Bridge.

“Targets on both sides of the Crimean Bridge were hit: maritime logistics for oil transport to the Krasnodar region and the oil depot in Kerch. Four S-400 radar stations and two ‘Pantsir’ systems were also struck,” Zelensky stated.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the oil terminal “TES-Terminal-1” in Kerch had been hit, resulting in a fire at the facility, which is a key node for fuel storage and transfer in Crimea, serving the needs of the occupying military forces.

Furthermore, damage was reported at the “Kavkaz” port in the Krasnodar region of Russia, along with several railway bridges used for military transport.

Commander Brovdi stated that on the night of June 21, drone units targeted the oil depot at the terminal in Kerch, as well as radar stations “Kasta-2E2” in the Kurortne area and “Nebo-U” in Kerch.

He also reported strikes on several gas compressor stations located in the settlements of Aromatne, Zhuravlivka, and Klyuchi, all situated within occupied Crimea and utilized to support Russian military operations.

Robert 'Madyar' Brovdi, commander of Ukraine's drone forces, has warned of increased dangers in Crimea due to ongoing military operations. His statements highlight the disruption of essential services and the targeting of Russian military infrastructure in the region.
