Air Alert Issued Across Ukraine Following Russian MiG-31K Flight

On June 21, air alerts were declared throughout Ukraine for the second time in one night due to the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the alerts were issued in response to the potential missile threat posed by this aircraft.

The Air Force indicated that a Kinzhal missile was launched in the direction of Kyiv from the Chernihiv region. Initial reports confirmed that the missile passed through the Kyiv region en route to Zhytomyr and continued towards Khmelnytskyi, specifically targeting the area of Starokostiantyniv.

This incident follows an earlier air alert issued around 1 AM, also prompted by the takeoff of the MiG-31K. The ongoing situation underscores the persistent risks associated with the current military activities in the region.
