Germany’s Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the provision of additional military aid to Ukraine following discussions at the recent Ramstein meeting. The latest assistance includes the delivery of another IRIS-T air defense system.
Pistorius highlighted that Germany has expedited the supply of IRIS-T SLS and SLM guided missiles, which are part of the air-to-air missile category. This move underscores Germany’s commitment to bolstering Ukraine’s defense capabilities amid ongoing regional tensions.
In a related development, Pistorius previously disclosed that Germany would allocate an additional $400 million in military assistance to Ukraine. This funding is earmarked for air defense systems, ammunition, and missiles for the Patriot system.
Furthermore, UK Defense Minister Dan Jarvis announced that the United Kingdom would deliver a comprehensive military aid package to Kyiv. This package will include radar systems, air defense missiles, and domestically produced drones, further enhancing Ukraine’s defensive operations.
Germany and the UK are significantly increasing military support to Ukraine, with Germany providing additional IRIS-T systems and the UK offering a new aid package. These developments reflect ongoing international efforts to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities amid escalating tensions.
