On the morning of June 14, Russian forces targeted railway infrastructure in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, the attack involved drones striking the Lozova railway station.
The assault resulted in damage to locomotives at the station. The ministry reported, “The enemy attacked the railway infrastructure of Kharkiv region. This morning, as a result of enemy drone strikes on the Lozova station, locomotives were damaged.”
Two railway workers, the driver and the assistant driver, sustained injuries during the attack and received necessary medical care.
Emergency services are currently engaged in efforts to mitigate the damage and restore the affected infrastructure. The ministry emphasized that despite the ongoing shelling, railway workers continue to fulfill their duties and maintain stable transportation links.
