Vladimir Saldo, the appointed head of the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region, has reported damage to a bridge in the vicinity of Chonhar following what he claims was a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones.
According to Saldo’s statements on social media, the bridge has been rendered impassable once again. Emergency services are currently on-site to assess and address the damage.
He advised drivers to seek alternative routes through Armyansk and Perekop to avoid the affected area.
In related developments, on June 6, operators from the 3rd Special Operations Regiment reportedly established aerial control over a segment of the land route used by occupying forces to Crimea. The following day, Saldo confirmed that the bridge’s roadway had sustained damage due to a drone strike.
The bridge in Chonhar has been damaged again due to a reported Ukrainian drone attack, prompting local authorities to recommend alternative travel routes. Emergency services are currently addressing the situation.
