Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Logistics in Eastern Ukraine

Ukrainian military forces have executed a significant strike against the logistical operations of Russian troops in the Donetsk region. This coordinated attack has reportedly dismantled critical infrastructure utilized by Russian forces for their military operations.

The operation was carried out by the 413th Special Forces Regiment, known as “Raid,” which successfully targeted multiple sites associated with Russian occupation forces. Military officials indicated that the strikes were concentrated on key intersections of railway and road networks that served as vital logistical hubs for the accumulation of personnel and resources by the Russian military.

The specific targets of the Ukrainian assault included:

  • Logistics depot of the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade and other units of the 29th Army of Russia, located near the settlements of Buhas and Novoselivka.
  • Logistics depot of the 51st Army (formerly the “1st Army Corps” of the occupiers in Donetsk) in the area of Dokuchaevsk.
  • Logistics depots and temporary deployment point of the 2nd Battalion of the 155th Brigade of the 55th Division of the Pacific Fleet’s Marine Corps, situated near the settlement of Syhnalne.

Military officials emphasized the geographical scope of the operation, highlighting the capability of Ukrainian defense forces to strike deep into enemy territory. “Some of these strikes were conducted in areas of Donbas that have been under Russian occupation since 2014,” they noted.

Recent operations by the Special Forces have also seen success in disrupting Russian logistics. Notably, Ukrainian drone forces recently blocked a key supply route, R-280, utilized by Russian troops in the southern part of the country. In that instance, the 412th Brigade, known as “Nemesis,” executed covert strikes on the critical route connecting Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol, targeting Russian military vehicles and supplies.

Additionally, on the night of May 30, Special Forces conducted extensive strikes on 23 military and logistical sites deep within enemy territory. Ukrainian drones targeted elements of oil logistics, including a tanker from Russia’s “shadow fleet,” an oil depot in Taganrog, and a maritime oil terminal in Feodosia.

During this large-scale nighttime operation, pilots from the drone forces, in coordination with other units, successfully destroyed a training ground used by a Russian brigade implicated in war crimes in Bucha. The strikes were executed at distances ranging from 70 to 100 kilometers from the frontline, resulting in 21 confirmed hits on military camps and logistical facilities belonging to various Russian armies.

Ukrainian forces have conducted a significant operation targeting Russian logistical infrastructure in Donetsk, successfully disrupting key supply routes. This action highlights the evolving capabilities of Ukrainian military operations deep within occupied territory.
