Meta has introduced two subscription tiers for its AI services, starting with a basic plan named Meta One Plus priced at $7.99 per month. This plan is designed for users who frequently utilize chatbots for generating images, videos, or handling complex AI queries.
The advanced plan, Meta One Premium, will cost $19.99 per month and offers enhanced features along with higher usage limits. Initially, these subscription services will be available in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia, with plans to expand to additional countries in the future.
While Meta AI will still be accessible for free, users who engage with the service extensively may encounter certain limitations. Specific usage limits for the various subscription tiers have not been disclosed, but the Premium plan is expected to provide significantly more capabilities.
This launch comes amid substantial investments by Meta in artificial intelligence development. According to Bloomberg, CEO Mark Zuckerberg intends to allocate at least $600 billion towards AI infrastructure in the coming years, including a major data center being constructed in Louisiana, which is estimated to cost over $200 billion.
In addition to Meta AI, the company is also testing subscription options for its platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, with pricing ranging from $2.99 to $3.99 per month, depending on the region. Furthermore, Meta is rolling out separate paid services tailored for businesses and content creators, with the most expensive plan offering live support for Facebook and Instagram pages.
Meta has unveiled subscription plans for its AI services, targeting users with varying needs. The company is investing heavily in AI infrastructure, with plans to expand these services globally.
