In Kyiv, the metro station “Lukianivska” and an exit at the “Khreshchatyk” station have been closed to passengers due to the aftermath of a recent bombardment.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that the closure of “Lukianivska” is a result of damage sustained by the surface vestibule from the shockwave of the explosions. Additionally, access to the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred at the “Khreshchatyk” station has also been temporarily restricted.
This incident follows a significant attack on the capital by Russian forces during the night of May 24. The “Lukianivska” station has previously been targeted in multiple assaults on the city, suffering considerable damage from explosive waves during strikes on March 15, 2022, December 29, 2023, July 8, 2024, and July 21, 2025.
Following a recent wave of shelling in Kyiv, two metro stations have been temporarily closed for passenger safety. The closures reflect ongoing risks to infrastructure amid continued military actions in the region.
