Trukhaniv Island in Kiev remains a popular destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a scenic escape despite the city’s ongoing war conditions. Although the official beach season will not be launched this year, municipal services are maintaining 15 city beaches to ensure safe and comfortable relaxation.
Access to Trukhaniv Island is convenient, with easy connections from the city center via Park Bridge. As warmer weather arrives in mid-May, the beach attracts significant crowds, particularly during sunset, drawing attention for its stunning views.
Recent improvements at the beach include the installation of benches and additional trash bins, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. However, options for purchasing food and beverages remain limited, often leading to long lines.
Summer Activities in Kiev
This summer, residents and tourists are also exploring other outdoor attractions in the city. One popular spot is Holosiivskyi Forest, located in the heart of Kiev, which recently unveiled a new tourist route suitable for families.
Additionally, the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine in Pyrohiv attracts many visitors, especially during the summer months when wildflowers and grasses flourish in the area.
