Ukraine Launches Remote Tax Number Service for Children Abroad

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced a fully remote service for obtaining tax identification numbers (RNOCPP) for children living abroad. This initiative has already seen participation from 247 applicants.

The service was officially launched on May 14, and within a few days, 247 individuals utilized the online platform to submit their applications entirely remotely.

“Three additional citizens have approached our diplomatic missions abroad for assistance. Of the submitted applications, 117 have been successfully approved, while the remaining requests are currently under review,” stated the Ministry.

The Ministry emphasized that parents and legal guardians can register a tax identification number for children under the age of 18 without needing to travel to Ukraine. This can be done through the ‘e-consul’ system or in person at Ukrainian embassies and consulates worldwide.

In August 2025, the Ministry had announced the implementation of an automated document submission procedure for notarial actions across 120 Ukrainian embassies and consulates globally.

The Ukrainian government's new remote service for tax identification numbers aims to assist families with children abroad, streamlining the application process. With over 240 applications submitted, the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to support Ukrainian citizens living outside the country.
