On Sunday, May 17, a series of Russian military strikes in the Kherson region led to the death of one man and injured eight civilians. The assaults involved artillery, mortars, and various types of drones targeting populated areas.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a 36-year-old man was killed when explosives were dropped from a drone onto a private residence in the village of Inhulets. Throughout the day, attacks continued in Kherson, Komyshany, Zelenivka, and Naddnipryanske, resulting in injuries to eight local residents.
In addition to the human toll, the strikes caused significant damage to private homes, an administrative building, a store, a public bus, and several cars.
The recent Russian military operations in the Kherson region have resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries among civilians, alongside considerable property damage. The ongoing conflict continues to impact local communities severely.
