Ukrainian Lawmaker Detained on Charges of Treason

Ukrainian parliament member Oleksandr Dubinsky has been ordered to remain in custody without bail as he faces serious allegations of treason. The ruling, issued on May 14, mandates that he be held for 60 days while investigations continue.

According to investigators, Dubinsky is accused of disseminating materials on social media that promote narratives favorable to Russia, undermine Ukraine’s state policies, and potentially disrupt military mobilization efforts. These claims have raised significant concerns regarding national security.

In a statement on his Telegram channel, Dubinsky acknowledged the court’s decision and revealed that he would be transferred to Men’s Colony No. 91.

This latest development follows a new treason charge brought against him on May 5, which came after experts evaluated over 50 of his video addresses and publications. The findings indicated that his content exhibited characteristics typical of Russian propaganda.

Dubinsky has publicly confirmed the charges against him but has dismissed them as fabricated, asserting that the case is falling apart in court.

Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksandr Dubinsky faces serious treason charges, leading to his detention without bail. Investigations reveal he allegedly spread pro-Russian narratives, raising concerns over national security.
