Kiev Experiences Combined Attack Resulting in Building Collapse and Fires

In the early hours of Thursday, Kiev faced a coordinated assault that led to the collapse of a residential building in the Darnytskyi district. Reports indicate that individuals may be trapped under the debris.

According to local authorities, the structural failure occurred in a residential area, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly. “A residential building has been damaged, and there are people trapped under the rubble. Necessary services are heading to the scene,” stated Tkachенко.

Kiev’s Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko also reported that the attack resulted in fires at various locations, including makeshift structures and a gas station. Additionally, a private residence in the Dniprovskyi district was struck.

This incident follows a series of drone and ballistic missile strikes launched by Russia against the capital on the night of May 14. The impacts of the assault were felt across multiple districts, including Holosiivskyi, Solomianskyi, and Obolon, in addition to those already mentioned.

Damage reports include not only residential buildings but also vehicles and non-residential structures. For further details on the Russian attack on Kiev, please refer to additional coverage by RBK-Ukraine.
