Four individuals, including a teenager, sustained injuries from a Russian drone strike in Zaporizhzhia on the evening of May 7, according to local officials. The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that the drone exploded in one of the city’s districts, damaging several vehicles.
The injured include two men aged 44 and 38, a 40-year-old woman, and a 15-year-old boy. All victims are currently receiving necessary medical treatment.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of attacks by Russian forces targeting Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure using various weaponry, including drones, missiles, and multiple rocket launch systems. Ukrainian authorities and international organizations have classified these strikes as war crimes, emphasizing their deliberate nature.
Officials have condemned the assaults on essential services and healthcare facilities, arguing that such actions aim to deprive civilians of electricity, heating, water supply, communication, and medical assistance, which they characterize as genocidal acts.
In contrast, Russian leadership denies that its military is intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure, asserting that the strikes are not aimed at harming non-combatants or destroying hospitals, schools, and other critical facilities.
