The Ukrainian government has approved a new resolution aimed at simplifying the documentation process for foreign military personnel and those intending to enlist.
This change specifically affects members of the National Guard, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the State Special Transport Service.
A clearer procedure for obtaining temporary residency permits is now in place for these individuals.
Additionally, the amendments address the situation of foreigners who are looking to sign contracts for military service in Ukraine.
These individuals will now be allowed to remain in the country legally, even if their documents have expired or cannot be renewed.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that such circumstances may arise when renewal requires contact with the aggressor state.
Another significant adjustment for military personnel is the exemption from the requirement to declare their place of residence.
The ministry clarified, “Their address today is wherever they are carrying out combat missions.”
Officials emphasized that supporting foreign nationals participating in the defense of Ukraine remains a priority for the state.
