Ukrainian military unit “Ghosts” has executed a recent operation in Crimea, targeting Russian military installations in the region currently under occupation.
The “Ghosts” unit has been engaged in systematic actions aimed at degrading Russian military capabilities within Crimea. In an operation conducted in April 2026, the focus was on enemy assets related to naval, airborne, and amphibious operations.
The operation resulted in significant damage to several military assets:
- Three Project 05060 assault landing boats;
- A supply vessel for Russian forces;
- A hangar used for storing the aforementioned boats;
- A Be-12 “Chaika” amphibious anti-submarine aircraft.
Additionally, there was a notable incident during the operation involving a response from Russian forces. The unit successfully evaded an attack from a portable surface-to-air missile system, allowing them to continue the operation as planned.
According to Ukrainian sources, such operations are intended to gradually weaken the military capabilities of Russian forces in the region, specifically targeting maritime infrastructure and aviation assets.
The Ukrainian special forces unit "Ghosts" has conducted a successful operation in Crimea, targeting key Russian military assets. This action is part of a broader strategy to diminish Russian military strength in the region.
