The Ukrainian Navy recently detected an enemy maritime drone approaching a port facility in Odesa. Surveillance forces quickly identified the threat, leading to an immediate decision to neutralize the drone.
This intervention successfully thwarted the drone’s attempt to reach the port, ensuring the safety of the area.
On April 18, Russian forces launched an attack on the port and logistics infrastructure in the Odesa region, resulting in injuries to a truck driver who received on-site medical assistance. The assault caused damage to storage facilities, cargo vehicles, and a building, igniting a fire that affected several buses.
Earlier, on April 14, a significant drone strike targeted the southern part of Odesa, impacting both port infrastructure and civilian structures. In the Izmail port, a Panamanian-flagged vessel, a dock, a barge, and part of the port’s equipment sustained damage. Additionally, a fire erupted at a maintenance station, leading to the destruction of two passenger buses and seven cars.
