On April 22, Ukrainian drone forces conducted a successful strike against a command post and the deployment site of a Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) special unit, resulting in significant enemy casualties.
According to a statement from the Ukrainian military, operators from the 1st Separate Drone Center executed the attack, which led to the loss of 27 personnel from the FSB’s special operations unit. The casualties were reported as follows:
- 12 killed in action (200);
- 15 wounded (300).
The operation was meticulously planned by specialists from the Deep Strike Center in collaboration with units from the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, known as Azov. The attack involved a series of eight precision strikes using FP-2 munitions against the FSB facility.
The statement emphasized that the drone forces, in coordination with other components of Ukraine’s defense forces, continue to systematically target key objectives of the enemy, thereby diminishing their capabilities for special operations, sabotage, and intelligence activities against Ukraine.
The FSB’s Mobile Action Directorate is a specialized unit responsible for counterintelligence and operational functions, which include conducting sabotage, intelligence work in temporarily occupied territories, and coordinating with illegal armed groups.
Ukrainian drone forces successfully targeted a Russian FSB unit, resulting in the deaths and injuries of numerous personnel. This operation reflects ongoing efforts by Ukraine to disrupt enemy capabilities.
