Russian Attack on Dnipro Results in Casualties and Damage

In the early hours of April 23, Russian military forces launched an attack on the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, leading to significant destruction and loss of life. Initial reports indicated that three individuals were killed and ten others sustained injuries as a result of the strikes, which targeted residential areas.

According to Oleksandr Hanža, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, two fatalities were reported shortly after the attack, with one person unaccounted for. By 10:30 AM, Dnipro’s mayor, Borys Filatov, confirmed that the death toll had risen to three.

The assault caused fires in multiple locations throughout the city, damaging residential buildings. Hanža later specified that a high-rise apartment building was directly hit, resulting in flames engulfing several apartments.

Among the injured were two women, aged 62 and 68, who were hospitalized in serious condition, a 35-year-old man receiving outpatient treatment, and two girls aged 9 and 14, who were also taken to the hospital. Hanža later updated that the number of injured had increased to ten, with four individuals hospitalized, including the two minors.

The recent Russian attack on Dnipro has led to three confirmed deaths and multiple injuries, highlighting the ongoing conflict's impact on civilian areas. Local authorities continue to assess the damage and provide updates on the situation.
