On April 21, Ukrainian forces reported 174 combat engagements along the front lines, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The day was marked by a significant escalation in hostilities, with Russian forces launching one missile strike, conducting 78 airstrikes, and deploying 239 guided bombs.
Additionally, the aggressor utilized 8,953 kamikaze drones and executed 3,232 attacks on populated areas and military positions, including 101 strikes with multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery successfully targeted 10 concentration areas of enemy personnel and equipment, along with three artillery systems.
The majority of the clashes occurred across four main directions: Kupiansk in Kharkiv, Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk, and Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched 17 attacks aimed at the settlements of Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, Koliskivka, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Kivsharivka, and Novoosynove.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 19 assaults were reported near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillya, Illinivka, Yablunivka, Oleksandro-Shultyn, Novopavlivka, Stepanivka, and Sofiivka. The Pokrovsk area saw Ukrainian defenders repel 30 assault attempts in the vicinity of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Udačne, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Filiya, and towards the settlements of Bilitske, Shevchenko, Nova Shakhove, Kucheryv Yar, Vasylivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, there were 22 attacks targeting the settlements of Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Myrne, Staroukraïnske, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipolske, and the area around Huliaipole. Fighting also persisted in the North Slobozhanskyi, Kursk, South Slobozhanskyi, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, and Dnipro directions.
On April 15, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, noted that the Russian military had intensified offensive operations with the changing weather, conducting attacks along a 1,200-kilometer front line. The most active sectors in March included Oleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman.
Furthermore, on April 17, the head of communications for the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps, Volodymyr Polevyi, stated on Radio Donbas Realities that Russian troops were amassing resources in the southern outskirts of Myrnohrad in Donetsk, utilizing residential buildings as natural cover.
The latest reports from Ukraine indicate a surge in combat activities, with significant clashes occurring across multiple fronts. Ukrainian forces are actively engaging Russian attacks, particularly in key regions such as Kupiansk and Pokrovsk.
