Teenagers Assault Military Recruiters in Lutsk

On Saturday, April 11, in Lutsk, a group of teenagers attacked military personnel from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS) while they were verifying documents of conscripts. Authorities are currently searching for the assailants.

Video footage circulated online shows the teenagers attempting to obstruct the TCRSS representatives as they were mobilizing a man.

According to the TCRSS, around 3:10 PM, military personnel discovered two conscription-age citizens behind the building of the Administrative Services Center (ASC).

During the document check, one individual had a deferment from mobilization, while the other tried to evade interaction and fled towards Lesia Ukrainka Street. At that moment, the teenagers launched their attack on the military personnel.

“During these events, a group of minors approached the servicemen from the TCRSS and behaved aggressively, attempting to hinder their official duties and resorting to physical violence,” the report stated.

In response to the unlawful actions and obstruction of their duties, the military personnel were compelled to act to stop the aggressive behavior.

The Volyn Regional TCRSS clarified that the citizen the teenagers attempted to ‘protect’ is a resident of Vinnytsia. He is fit for military service and is subject to conscription during mobilization. Consequently, he was taken to the TCRSS for updating his military registration data and undergoing a medical examination.

“The attackers on the notification group are being sought by law enforcement agencies, which will provide a legal assessment of their actions,” the TCRSS added.

In Lutsk, military personnel faced an aggressive attack from teenagers while conducting document checks on conscripts. Authorities are investigating the incident and searching for the assailants.
