Weather conditions in Ukraine are expected to improve next week, following a chilly Easter weekend, according to meteorologist Vitaliy Postryhan.
This year, Easter will be marked by cool temperatures, with a high likelihood of frost overnight and in the morning, dropping to between 0° and -3°C. Postryhan advises residents to dress warmly for morning services.
During the day, temperatures are predicted to rise slightly, reaching between 7° and 12°C, although light rain may occur in some areas.
On April 12, cloud cover is expected to decrease, and any precipitation will be brief and localized. The weather is anticipated to improve significantly the following week as arctic cold begins to recede.
Postryhan noted, “While rain may persist for a time, the second half of the Easter week could bring pleasantly warmer conditions.”
Weather Outlook for Kyiv
In Kyiv, temperatures will also begin to rise next week. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reports that from April 11 to 13, cold and damp weather will prevail, with nighttime temperatures potentially dropping to 0° to -2°C in the city and -3°C in surrounding areas, along with intermittent rain.
However, by April 14 and 15, conditions are expected to improve, with precipitation ceasing and nighttime temperatures increasing to between 1° and 6°C. Daytime highs are forecasted to reach between 11° and 16°C.
