Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Oil Platforms in Caspian Sea

In a significant military operation, Ukrainian defense units struck two Russian drilling platforms in the Caspian Sea late on April 10, targeting critical oil and gas infrastructure that supports the Russian military’s fuel supply.

The General Staff of Ukraine reported that the assault affected the ice-resistant stationary platform (LSP-2) at the V. Graifer field, formerly known as Rakushechne, as well as the LSP-1 platform at the Yuri Korchagin field.

Located nearly a thousand kilometers from the front lines, these platforms play a vital role in extracting and supplying fuel for Russian military operations. The Ukrainian forces emphasized their commitment to continue targeting key Russian assets to weaken its military capabilities until aggression against Ukraine ceases.

Ukrainian forces have launched a targeted attack on Russian oil platforms in the Caspian Sea, aiming to disrupt fuel supplies for the Russian military. This operation underscores Ukraine's strategy to diminish Russia's military resources amid ongoing conflict.
