Artillery Strike in Kherson Claims Four Lives and Injures Several Others

On April 7, Russian forces launched an artillery strike on a residential area in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to several others. The attack occurred around 10:50 AM local time, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional military administration.

According to the regional administration, among those killed were two women aged 72 and 71, and a 60-year-old man. In addition to the fatalities, three individuals were hospitalized: a 71-year-old woman, a 57-year-old woman, and a 72-year-old man, all of whom are receiving necessary medical care.

Further reports indicated that another victim, a 60-year-old man, suffered a traumatic amputation of a toe, along with a concussion and both explosive and closed head injuries. Additionally, an 81-year-old man was reported to have sustained facial shrapnel wounds, a concussion, and similar head injuries.

As of 12:30 PM, local prosecutors confirmed three fatalities and seven injuries resulting from the artillery attack. The Russian military targeted the residential area using artillery fire, leading to significant civilian casualties.

Subsequent updates revealed that the death toll had risen to four, with the identity of the latest victim still being confirmed. The ongoing conflict in the region continues to pose a severe threat to civilian life, highlighting the dangers faced by residents in conflict zones.
