On Sunday evening, Russian occupation forces launched an attack on the border town of Semenivka in the Chernihiv region using two FPV drones, resulting in damage to a local school building.
According to Oleksandr Selivertsev, the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, the assault occurred around 6:30 PM. The drones were deployed to strike the populated area.
“As a result of the two drone strikes, the building of secondary school No. 5 in Semenivka was damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties or injuries,” Selivertsev stated.
This incident follows a similar attack on April 4, when Russian forces targeted the border town of Snovsk. That assault resulted in the death of a man born in 1985, who was struck while in his yard near a garage.
Russian forces have intensified drone attacks in the Chernihiv region, with the latest strike damaging a school in Semenivka. Previous assaults have resulted in civilian casualties, highlighting ongoing hostilities in border areas.
