Ukraine’s Electricity Supply Remains Stable Amid Power Usage Advisory

On Saturday, April 4, Ukraine’s national energy company, Ukrenergo, announced that there will be no planned power outages for residential consumers or restrictions on electricity supply for industrial users.

Despite this assurance, Ukrenergo has urged citizens to limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during peak evening hours, specifically from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This recommendation aims to ensure the stability of the electricity grid.

Since January 14, a state of emergency has been in effect in Ukraine’s energy sector, a measure implemented by President Volodymyr Zelensky in response to ongoing Russian strikes targeting the country’s energy infrastructure. This situation has heightened the need for careful management of energy resources.

Ukrenergo has confirmed that there will be no planned power outages in Ukraine, while advising citizens to limit electricity use during peak hours. This comes amid a state of emergency in the energy sector due to ongoing threats from Russian military actions.
