On April 3, Russian military forces conducted a drone strike targeting a minibus in the Dniprovs’kyi district of Kherson, resulting in multiple injuries. According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the attack occurred around 8:30 AM.
Initial reports indicated that five individuals sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical attention. Subsequent updates revealed that the number of injured had risen to nine, including a 19-year-old woman, three women, and three men.
The injured individuals have been diagnosed with blast injuries and closed head traumas, along with various shrapnel wounds to their limbs and torsos, as stated by Yaroslav Shanko, the head of the local military administration.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that law enforcement has initiated a preliminary investigation into the incident, categorizing it as a war crime.
Among the injured, the 51-year-old driver of the minibus is reported to be in serious condition, suffering from a concussion, closed head trauma, and shrapnel wounds to his legs and abdomen. Six other passengers are in moderate condition, having sustained closed head injuries, concussions, and multiple shrapnel wounds.
In a related series of drone attacks on April 2, Russian forces targeted various locations in Kherson. Reports indicate that a 62-year-old man was injured when explosives were dropped on him while walking in the Central district. Additionally, an 84-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were injured in the Dniprovs’kyi district during these attacks, which also resulted in fatalities.
The series of strikes included an attack on a parking area in the Central district, leading to a fire and serious injuries to another man. A 16-year-old boy was also reported injured in a later attack in the same area.
