Improvements in Frontline Medical Care Reported by Ukrainian Military Commander

The Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has reported notable advancements in frontline medical care, particularly in reducing the number of amputations among injured personnel. This development is attributed to enhanced medical support and training for military staff.

Syrskyi highlighted that recent statistics from the Medical Forces Command indicate a positive trend concerning tourniquet syndrome, which has contributed to fewer amputations of limbs. He stated, “According to the report from the Medical Forces Command, we are seeing certain improvements in the overall statistics of tourniquet syndrome manifestations. We are achieving a reduction in the number of limb amputations among the injured due to better medical support and training of servicemen.”

In addition, Syrskyi mentioned the establishment of underground stabilization points at a safe distance from combat zones. This initiative aims to provide injured soldiers with timely medical assistance, increasing their chances of retaining their limbs.
