Emergency services in Ukraine successfully extinguished fires that broke out at the New Post terminal and warehouses in Lutsk, Volyn region, following Russian missile strikes on April 1.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS), firefighters managed to control a blaze that affected an area of 3,600 square meters at the terminal, preventing the flames from spreading to the administrative building.
In addition, a fire at a warehouse covering 21,000 square meters was also localized. The firefighting efforts involved a coordinated response that included firefighters, bomb disposal experts, fire trucks, specialized equipment, and two robotic firefighting units from the DSNS.
This incident underscores the ongoing risks posed by military actions in the region, with civilian infrastructure frequently targeted. The attacks on April 1 specifically targeted the New Post terminal and food storage facilities in Lutsk.
