The energy situation in Ukraine remains critical as recent Russian attacks on electrical infrastructure have led to widespread power outages in several regions. Energy officials are conducting emergency restoration efforts and are urging citizens to conserve electricity.
As of the morning of March 31, power outages have been reported in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Poltava regions due to attacks on energy facilities. Where security conditions permit, repair teams are actively working to restore electricity supply.
Electricity consumption has increased by 2.7% compared to the same time last week, primarily due to overcast weather across much of Ukraine and rain in certain areas. These conditions have reduced the effectiveness of residential solar power systems, thereby placing additional strain on the national grid.
“There is a need for energy conservation in all regions during evening hours from 18:00 to 22:00. Please limit the use of high-power appliances during this time and avoid using multiple such devices simultaneously,” the company stated.
