On the night of March 29, drone attacks were reported in Russia’s Leningrad region, specifically affecting the port of Ust-Luga, where a fire broke out. Additionally, an industrial facility in the Samara region was also struck.

Local Telegram channels and Leningrad Governor Alexander Drozdenko provided updates on the situation, indicating that air raid alerts were issued around 2 a.m. due to the drone threat. By 5 a.m., reports confirmed damage at the Ust-Luga port, where tanks were reportedly ablaze. Preliminary assessments indicate that there were no casualties.

Governor Drozdenko noted that emergency services were deployed to manage the fire at the port. He also stated that Russian air defense forces claimed to have shot down 31 drones over the region during the night.

In the Samara region, local Telegram channels reported a potential strike on the industrial zone of TogliattiAzot. Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the drone attack on the industrial facility in Togliatti, also indicating that there were no reported injuries and that emergency services were on-site.

Furthermore, temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures were implemented at airports in Kaluga, Penza, Pskov, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that during the same night, air defense systems reportedly intercepted 203 Ukrainian drones over various regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Penza, Pskov, Rostov, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula, as well as over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the Black Sea area.
