Nationwide Protests Against Trump’s Policies Planned Across All 50 States

Mass protests against President Donald Trump’s policies are set to take place in all 50 states, with over 3,200 events scheduled as part of the “No Kings” movement. Organizers aim for this to be the largest single-day protest in U.S. history.

The protests, which have previously attracted millions of participants, are expected to draw significant crowds. In Minnesota, organizers anticipate a turnout of 100,000, bolstered by support from high-profile musicians such as Bruce Springsteen and Joan Baez. This state has become a focal point of tension due to Trump’s stringent immigration policies and the presence of federal immigration agents in areas governed by Democratic leadership.

Major gatherings are also planned in cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. However, it is noteworthy that approximately two-thirds of the events will occur outside major urban centers. In Washington, demonstrators were seen chanting pro-democracy slogans while holding signs opposing Trump’s policies.

In Austin, Texas, a brass band accompanied protesters who gathered outside City Hall before marching through downtown. Meanwhile, in Manhattan, actor Robert De Niro, one of the event organizers, expressed concerns about Trump’s presidency, stating, “There have been other presidents who tested the constitutional limits of their power, but none have posed such an existential threat to our freedoms and safety.”

The protests are occurring against the backdrop of a decline in Trump’s approval ratings, which have fallen to 36%, the lowest since his return to the White House, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll.

The “No Kings” movement was initiated last year on Trump’s birthday, June 14, and attracted an estimated 4 to 6 million participants across approximately 2,100 locations nationwide. Previous protests in the spring of last year and a second wave in October saw around 7 million participants in over 2,700 U.S. cities.

Protests against President Trump’s policies are scheduled across all 50 states, with organizers hoping for a record turnout. The movement, known as "No Kings," has previously mobilized millions and is responding to declining approval ratings for the president.
