Ukrainian Sting Drones Enhanced with Remote Control Technology

The charitable organization “Community of Sternenko” and drone manufacturer “Wild Hornets” have announced the successful implementation of remote control technology for Ukraine’s Sting interceptors, marking a significant advancement in their operational capabilities.

The Sting drones have been equipped with the HORNET VISION Ctrl remote control system, which has already shown promising results during initial testing phases.

This upgrade involves a modernization of the ground control station for the drones, allowing operators to manage the interceptors from considerable distances without needing to be physically present in the operational area.

According to the Community of Sternenko, the integration of this new system does not increase the cost of the drones themselves. Additionally, operators will require only minimal additional training, facilitating a smooth transition to the new technology.

The development of this technology has been funded by the foundation, and it is currently undergoing testing within several air defense units. The team is focused on scaling the solution and preparing for mass production.

Developers anticipate that the use of these enhanced interceptors will become widespread in the near future, further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

The integration of remote control technology into Ukraine's Sting drones represents a key enhancement in their operational effectiveness. With minimal training required for operators, the new system is expected to facilitate broader use of these interceptors in air defense units soon.
