On March 27, Ukraine reported no restrictions on electricity consumption despite ongoing challenges from Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure and adverse weather conditions. However, new outages were recorded following overnight strikes by Russian forces.
According to the national energy company, Ukrenergo, electricity consumption showed a decline of 1.7% compared to the same time the previous day. This decrease is attributed to warmer temperatures across the country and clear weather, which has enhanced the efficiency of residential solar power systems.
New power outages were noted in the frontline regions of Kharkiv and Kherson due to strikes on energy facilities. Emergency restoration efforts have commenced in areas where safety conditions permit.
Ukrenergo has advised residents to use heavy electrical appliances during the hours of 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, when the grid operates most effectively, and to avoid using multiple devices simultaneously during peak evening hours from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Ukraine is experiencing new power outages due to recent Russian attacks, despite a slight decrease in overall electricity consumption. The national energy company has provided guidelines for optimal energy usage amid ongoing restoration efforts.
