White House Denies Reports of Iran Rejecting Peace Plan

The White House has refuted claims that Iran has rejected a proposed 15-point peace plan from the United States, stating that negotiations between the two parties are ongoing. White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt characterized the reports as inaccurate.

Levitt addressed the media, asserting, “This is not true,” in response to allegations of Tehran dismissing the American proposal aimed at halting hostilities. She cautioned journalists against reporting speculative details and plans attributed to anonymous sources.

Furthermore, Levitt clarified that the White House has never formally confirmed the existence of this plan. “There are elements of truth in it, but some of the stories I have read are not entirely factual,” she remarked.

Despite the ongoing discussions, Levitt emphasized that President Donald Trump remains committed to a peaceful resolution while maintaining a firm stance on Iran. She noted that following a significant threat issued by Trump over the weekend, there have been indications that Iran is open to negotiations, which she claims has led to continued constructive dialogue and a postponement of planned strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure.

“The President always prefers peace. There is no need for more death and destruction. However, if Iran does not acknowledge the current realities, if it fails to understand that it has suffered military defeats and will continue to do so, President Trump will ensure that it faces a stronger response than ever before,” Levitt stated.

She further asserted that Trump is not one to bluff and is prepared to take decisive action if Tehran does not engage in negotiations.

Regarding the 15-point plan, Levitt reiterated that the U.S. has communicated a peace proposal to Iran aimed at ending hostilities in the Middle East. Key elements of the plan reportedly include placing 440 kilograms of highly enriched uranium under international control, which is currently stored in Iran. The document also addresses the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, which has effectively been blocked following the initiation of military operations by the U.S. and Israel.

The White House has denied reports that Iran rejected a U.S. peace plan, emphasizing that negotiations are still in progress. Spokesperson Caroline Levitt highlighted President Trump's commitment to a peaceful resolution while maintaining a strong stance on Iran.
