Iran’s Military Threatens to Target Energy Infrastructure Linked to US and Israel

The Iranian military has issued a warning that it will strike all energy infrastructure associated with the United States and Israel in the Middle East if its power plants are attacked. This statement follows remarks made by former President Donald Trump regarding potential military actions against Iran.

Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesperson for Iran’s Central Command ‘Khatam al-Anbiya’, indicated that the country would also target desalination facilities and IT infrastructure connected to the U.S. and Israel.

In related developments, Fars News Agency reported that the late head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, had previously cautioned that the entire region could experience a blackout within half an hour if Iran’s power grid were to become a target.

This warning comes in the context of escalating tensions, particularly after Trump threatened to attack Iranian power plants unless Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.

Iran's military has escalated its rhetoric by threatening to attack energy infrastructure linked to the U.S. and Israel, following Trump's aggressive statements. This marks a significant development in the ongoing tensions in the region.
