Iran Launches Missile Strikes on Israeli Cities, Casualties Reported

On March 21, Iran conducted missile strikes targeting the Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad, resulting in significant damage to residential buildings and numerous injuries.

The initial attack struck Dimona, home to a known Israeli nuclear research facility, followed by a subsequent strike on Arad. Reports indicate that a total of 71 individuals sustained injuries, with 10 in serious condition, 13 moderately injured, and 48 suffering minor wounds.

In Dimona, the missile impacted the southern part of the city, causing a building to collapse. Iranian officials claimed their objective was the Israeli nuclear research center. Meanwhile, in Arad, a direct hit was reported in a residential area, leading to extensive damage to several homes. Local sources suggest that nine apartment buildings were affected, although this information has not been officially confirmed.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated that it has no information regarding any damage to the nuclear facility in Dimona. An IAEA spokesperson remarked, “We are aware of the incident in Dimona, but we have not received any information about damage to the Negev nuclear research center.”

Iran's missile strikes on Dimona and Arad have resulted in injuries and property damage, raising concerns about regional security. The IAEA has confirmed no damage to the nuclear facility.
