Ukraine to Experience Full Day of Electricity Supply on March 22

On Sunday, March 22, Ukraine will not implement any scheduled electricity outages for the first time in a considerable period. All regions of the country will have continuous access to electricity throughout the day.

The electricity supply company announced, “Attention, no outages are forecasted for March 22. Measures to limit consumption are not planned for tomorrow, Sunday.”

However, the company has requested that residents use high-power electrical appliances during daytime hours, specifically between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Since autumn 2022, Ukraine has faced regular attacks on its energy infrastructure, primarily from Russian forces. These assaults intensified during the winter months, coinciding with extreme cold weather conditions, leading to prolonged outages of electricity, water, and heating in several cities.

With the arrival of spring, the frequency of attacks has diminished, resulting in an improved situation. Nevertheless, recent days have seen the reintroduction of scheduled outages due to damage inflicted on key energy transmission facilities by Russian strikes.

For instance, on the morning of March 21, the entire city of Chernihiv and much of the surrounding region experienced power outages following an attack on the local energy infrastructure.

Ukraine will have uninterrupted electricity supply on March 22, marking a significant improvement in the energy situation. This development follows a period of regular outages due to damage from ongoing attacks on the energy infrastructure.
