Russian Strikes in Dnipropetrovsk Region Result in Casualties and Damage

Recent artillery attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine have led to the deaths of two individuals and left five others injured, according to local authorities. The head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, provided details on the situation, highlighting the impact on various communities.

The strikes primarily affected the Nikopol district, where areas including Pokrovska, Marhanetska, Myrivska, and Chervonohryhorivska faced significant damage. Infrastructure, private homes, and shops were reported to be affected. Among the injured, a 55-year-old woman is in serious condition and has been hospitalized. Additionally, two boys aged 7 and 18, along with a 45-year-old woman, are receiving treatment for injuries assessed as moderate. A 46-year-old man is expected to recover through outpatient care.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, communities such as Mykolaivka and Vasylkivka also experienced strikes, resulting in vehicle fires and damage to residential properties. Hanzha confirmed that the two fatalities were men caught in the crossfire of these attacks.

Russian military forces have been conducting regular strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure using various types of weaponry, including drones, missiles, and artillery systems. These actions have drawn condemnation from Ukrainian officials and international organizations, who classify them as war crimes, emphasizing their deliberate nature.

The targeting of essential services and healthcare facilities is viewed as a strategy to deprive civilians of electricity, heating, water supply, communication, and medical assistance, which some authorities characterize as genocidal actions.

In contrast, Russian leadership denies that their military is intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure during the ongoing full-scale conflict, asserting that they do not aim to harm civilians or destroy critical services such as hospitals, schools, and energy facilities.

Recent Russian artillery attacks in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region have resulted in fatalities and injuries, highlighting ongoing military aggression. Local authorities report significant damage to civilian infrastructure, raising concerns about war crimes and the humanitarian impact of these strikes.
