An arson incident at a drone manufacturing facility in Pardubice, Czech Republic, has been classified as a terrorist act by local authorities. The attack occurred on the night of March 21 and targeted a site that produced drones for Ukraine.
The facility is operated by LPP Holding, in collaboration with the Israeli company Elbit Systems, which supplies drones to Ukraine. The perpetrators justified their actions by claiming that the company is linked to the Israeli military sector.
In a statement, the attackers described the facility as a “significant production center” for Israeli weaponry in Pardubice, asserting that their goal was to halt its involvement in what they termed the “genocide in Gaza.”
Former head of the Czech Military Intelligence, Andor Shandor, suggested that Russian involvement in the attack could not be ruled out. He noted that similar groups often have a history of prior activities. Shandor remarked, “Of course, this cannot be completely excluded. The perpetrators reference Gaza in their statement, which seems somewhat strange, as the conflict there began three years ago and is no longer in an active phase.”
He proposed the possibility of a Russian sabotage operation conducted under a “false flag”—an attack designed to mislead investigators and implicate another party.
This incident occurs against a backdrop of increasing attacks on Jewish communities amid the ongoing military operations in Iran. Reports indicate a rise in such incidents in both the United States and Europe.
On March 12, a bomb-laden vehicle crashed into Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield, Michigan, where a school is also located. Fortunately, there were no casualties among students or staff, as the attacker was the only fatality.
Two days later, on March 14, an explosion occurred near a Jewish school in a prestigious area of Amsterdam, which authorities have classified as a targeted terrorist act.
The arson attack on a Czech drone manufacturing facility has raised concerns about potential links to Russian sabotage. This incident is part of a broader pattern of rising violence against Jewish communities amid geopolitical tensions.
